Jersey is the largest of the channel islands and is considered as world-open than the others. By the topography favoured, a relatively mild climate and one prevail find here even palms also in the winter.
Administration
The English queen appoints the Lieutnant Gouvernor of Jersey, which is responsible for the military protection their representative on the island and primarily; the Bailiff, likewise appointed by the queen, is a president of the States of Jersey and at the same time highest judge in the Bailiwick. The States decides laws and regulations and exercises (by committees) the government functions. It gives no parties on Jersey, to each candidate for a public office must personally apply.
Industry and economics
financed to approximately 50% the household of the island from the international money place of transshipment (taxes of banks and mail box firms), 25% originate from the tourism and the remainder from agriculture (glasshouse industry) and cattle breeding (jersey cattle).
